Consider This Great PC For Beginners

By Rogelio Cowing

Almost all people when they venture into the computer world, are looking for specific things. Some PC users want to play video games, others want to do digital photography, while others just watch films online or simply go on the Internet. A terrific computer thats fits the needs of your typical new user is the HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC. HP has plenty of hard-drive space, and RAM, but there is no graphic cards. The HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC is a desktop for people on a budget, and not too interested in gaming. You won't be able to do much gaming, but that will let you focus on your computer time.

Several of the features of this HP computer are the $600 price tag, a 2.9GHz AMD Phenom ll 840T quad-core CPU, 6 GB of RAM installed, and a 1TB hard drive, which is plenty for a budget machine. Also, the HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC comes ready with 802.11n Wi-Fi, ATI Radeon HD 4200 integrated graphics, and a DVD burner.

The PC tower features a plain, average black chassis, but the front is made of glossy black plastic. An additional bay is found underneath the DVD burner, for expansion when you would like to add a Blu-ray player. This HP computer is approximately seven inches wide and comes with the power button at the top of the case. Also, this computer from HP is sold with your regular keyboard and mouse. A lot of newer PCs nowadays come packed with all kinds of unnecessary software, but this computer from HP comes with surprisingly little. The has a few software demos and the essential HP MediaSmart video and music playback suite.

The HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC also has a 15-in-1 card reader as well as a host of input ports. The HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC also includes microphone and headphone jacks and two USB 2.0 ports in the front. The HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC lacks more multimedia type ports like Firewire or thunderbolt. The back of the computer includes four USB 2.0 ports, DVI port, VGA port and a digital audio port. Furthermore, 7.1 surround sound support comes with the PC. If you are hoping for a bit of room for expansion, you will be disappointed. As is the case with other budget computers, the internals look to be a jumbled mess, with wires bunched in the middle of the computer. You essentially cant do a lot to expand the machine. Still, you can install a more powerful graphics card if you wish.

As a gaming PC, the HP Pavilion p6720f is not the best choice or even a PC to even consider. The integrated graphics chip was just not designed to handle high end graphics. Budget machines are not designed for gaming. If you want something to push the boundaries of your multimedia needs, then the Micro Express MicroFlex 25B is a good but more expensive choice. The Pavilion p6720f, for the price, has enough hard drive, and a quad-core processor that will give you plenty of speed. This computer surely met my daily needs. This PC is really easy to use, really fast and it didnt hurt my pocketbook.
