The Productivity Of Our Workplace Increased Significantly After Getting A Project Charter Template

By Thora W. Walker

I always dreaded having to do project charters when I was assigned with a project because while they were helpful to the people both outside and inside the project, they were always a huge time sink, at least until we got a project charter template. I cannot stress enough how much of a difference this software made in my professional life as it allowed me not only to do more projects more efficiently, it permitted me to pitch my own projects much more efficiently, which got me a lot of notice at work.

This is not to say that getting to where I am now was a simple matter of getting some software, I had to bootlick and ingratiate myself to people in order to convince them that spending a little cash in order to save time down the road was a good thing. For the most part, this process was just like another project, but one I threw myself into with increased fervor, using lunch hours and other moments to create a project charter that would be used to convince my boss of the efficacy of the project charter template software.

Basically, my little presentation consisted of using a project charter to illustrate the amounts of time that we would save versus going on without it as we had for so long. I flung myself into this heart and soul because I loathe wasting time, even if I am getting paid for doing so and I wanted to be able to save the company time and money in an efficient way.

My presentation was a huge success and everyone, especially my boss was very impressed with my hard work, and my boss even thanked me for the initiative I took to improve the efficiency of the company as well as to save them money. The project was green lit, and I was tasked with finding the most cost-effective software, which I had already discovered by using an Internet search and some online comparisons of the different software options.

In my first presentation, I also talked about getting some more software that would help us make project timelines in a much more efficient and timely manner, since they generally take much longer then they need to. By downloading and installing both programs, I was suddenly quite popular with the people in the office who were heavily involved with the different projects we regularly had assigned. Not long after I had gotten the software installed, my boss assigned me to another important project for which I needed to make both a project timeline and a project charter with the new program, and I could hardly believe how much easier and more efficient it was!
