The newest Nintendo handheld console which is the Nintendo 3ds is one of the most loved handheld consoles in the history of gaming simply because it allows users to play in 3d. Along with the machine were also a lot of anticipated games that many loyal gamers have been waiting to get their hands on. So if one has just bought this console, then he may want to check out this list of the best games for nintendo 3ds.

Of course one character that is well known and well loved would actually be Mario from the Super Mario Brothers franchise. This new console boasts an all new Super Mario Land which can be played in 3d. The best part is that one would not need any special glasses or anything to see Mario jump around pipes and defeat a bunch of enemies in 3d.

Beside the very famous, there would also be the sword slinging, bomb throwing, high jumping Link from the very popular game The Legend of Zelda. The newest Zelda game for this platform is named A Link Between Two Worlds which is actually loosely based on A Link to the Past. However, the entire storyline is different and one would now be able to play as Link in 3d.

Now there are sure to be a lot of fans of the Pokemon franchise ever since the birth of Pokemon versions Blue and Red. Now for the longest time, there have been a lot of fans who have been wondering what it is like to play Pokemon from a first person view. Now they can get their wish with the all new versions Pokemon X and Y which can be played on the new 3ds.

Now for the gamers who are into tactical role playing games like Final Fantasy and such, Fire Emblem Awakening is definitely one that they can enjoy. Now if one would play the Nintendo DS, he would probably be familiar with the very first Professor Layton games. This is the sixth installment and has a lot of new puzzles as well as new characters.

Now there would also be some games for those who are quite young like Animal Crossing. Now this game is appealing to both young players and older players alike because it is very interactive and actually quite addictive as well. Basically, one would be creating his own house wherein he can own pet animals and train them as well as interact with them.
