Learn These Handy IPad Tips And Tricks

Everyone has heard the hype surrounding the iPad. Some think it's a toy, while others think it's a helpful tool for the future. If you would like to make good use of the iPad as a tool, this article provides some tips to help you.

If you are wanting to do a fast copy and paste, simply select and hold the text and tap the Select button. Next, choose copy and go into the field that you want the text. This will allow a menu to come up and then paste. In order to paste an entire paragraph, you must tap four times.

Lots of people know about the store for iTunes on the iPad, but don't really know what all it offers. iTunes U is pretty interesting. This will give you podcasts that are educational in nature so that you can broaden your learning base.

When reading books on your iPad, try turning down the brightness of the screen. You can usually do that by going to Settings and clicking Brightness, but you can use another way. This app comes complete with its own screen dimmer, accessible from within the app.

Find the bookmarks on your iPad easier. You can simply keep the bar for bookmarks open. To turn your bookmark bar on, go into your Settings menu and click Safari. That way, you avoid all the clicking it used to take just so you can visit your favorite spots on the web.

Did you accidentally start a noisy app? To quickly mute the iPad's volume, just hold down the volume button. If you need it often, you can set it up so your lock button can also work as a button mute the iPad.

Open new webpages using a new tab to keep your current webpage open. While in Safari, hold the link and a pop-up menu appears. This pop-up menu provides you with the opportunity to use a new tab to open an additional link.

Does tapping the bookmark menu take too much time? Simply enable your bookmarks bar on a permanent basis to keep your favorite websites a click away. Go to Settings, Safari, Always Show the Bookmarks Bar, and select On.

Are you interesting in reading PDF files on the iPad? Just send them to your email and open them on the iPad using iBooks. Another option is to use the iTunes app on your desktop or laptop by syncing your iPad.

There are many preloaded apps that you will probably never use. Unfortunately, some of them cannot be erased. If you find that there are several built-in apps that you aren't using, create a folder to contain them. That way, you can focus your attention on what you actually do use.

You cannot switch from one day to another by switching on the calendar function. You should instead use the navigation bar located at the bottom of the screen to select the date you want to see. The date is always highlighted in blue.

If you see that volume buttons aren't functioning, simply navigate to Settings-General-Sounds. Select Change With Buttons and it will work again. You can use the slider to change the volume, too.
