Establishing a Wireless Signal in your house doesn't need to be a Laborious task

A wireless router is an important piece of equipment if you wish to access the Internet without wires. It goes without saying that wireless technology is by far better than having to deal with tangled wires.

Having a wireless signal in your home is perfect for your laptop computer. Freedom to access the Internet while lying in bed or watching TV is so convenient. Every wireless router has a standard signal range.

There is a wide selection of different wireless routers on the market. In terms of major differences, we look at speed and technology. Due to its outstanding quality, 802.11g is the recommended technology and is capable of handling any computer or wireless device.

Just because you have a wireless signal doesn't mean your device will pick up the signal so make sure your computer or phone is wi-fi capable. If your computer doesn't support wi-fi right out of the box, you'll need to purchase a wi-fi adapter that plugs into your USB port.

Wireless signals are supported by every major brand of laptop computers. Next you'll need to turn off your modem by unplugging it, after you've prepared your laptop or smart-phone to receive the signal.

Next, find the network cable and insert it into the back of the modem. Then run the same cable into the back of the Internet port of the router. The next step is to turn on your computer.

Once everything is powered up and running, you will see your computer automatically connect to the router. Since this is the first time you've set up your router, you'll be asked to configure your password and user name. Setting up your wireless network is now complete. It's so simple, anyone can do it.
