A Brief Review Of The Kindle Charger

By Carol Ho

The Kindle charger does not come with the e-reader or tablet. You have to purchase it separately. If you purchase the charger at checkout, you will save ten dollars. If you don't, you will have to pay twenty dollars later.

All Kindle e-reader models can be charged with this charger. If you decide to travel abroad, you can use it there too (100-240V). Just make sure you have a plug adapter to use with foreign outlets.

An alternative to buying a charger is to power-up your Kindle using your laptop or PC with the included USB cable that comes standard with your e-reader.

You can charge more than just your kindle. You can use it to charge your Smartphone and MP3 players and the reverse applies as well. You can use the USB cable your Smartphone uses and power-up your Kindle.

I know for sure you can use the USB cable from a Blackberry to charge your Kindle.

I purchased this charger for added piece of mind to charge my e-reader. Besides it was more convenient for me to do so since I am on the go quite a bit. High quality materials are used to make this charger. I know it will last me a long time.

You won't need to buy another charger if you upgrade your Kindles. It is easy to carry and transport. Plus, it does not take up the entire outlet when you use it like other chargers do.

While I am writing this review about the Kindle charger, I will also leave my two cents on the Kindle Fire charger as well. This charger also has a sleek design with the Amazon logo on it. It too is made of high quality materials and will last for quite awhile.

This is like a universal charging system. Not only can it charge all of the Kindle Fire models; but it can charge-up the Kindle e-readers as well.

It can also charge my Blackberry smartphone, Bluetooth headset, and iPad. All of your devices will be charged within the hour when using it; and it has a 9W, 1.8amp. You can throw it in your bag and take it anywhere because it is compact and small. Plus, the prongs are retractable which makes it even more compact.

The only thing I dislike about this charger is that I had to purchase it separately but it was still worth the buy.

You will need to purchase an adapter plug if you plan on doing some traveling outside of the USA. If you have one already, you can use that. You don't need to buy one again.

Some adapters are specific to certain countries. So make sure you have the correct one for whichever country you are traveling to.

If you are wondering if this charger is worth $20, it is. It does what the advertisement says it does and more. I really like the fact that I can charge all of my mobile devices really quickly without worrying about damaging them with a generic charger.
