Offline Marketing For Online Business

By Edward French

Most internet marketers think that website promotion is limited to online techniques.

But most people spend their time off-line. They talk with their friends and family, read newspapers and magazines, and watch TV. Not all the time is spent surfing on the internet.

To ignore the value of off-line marketing is to leave 65-70% of the money to be made from your websites on the table.

Here are a few ideas for creating off-line advertising:

Let your local papers know that you have an unique product that will benefit the local community and you are able to help them save time, learn more and be more effective in their daily lives. This could lead to an interview, and your website product will be featured.

At the very least, the community will be aware of your company name or product.

You should also tie up with a local business that's related to your product by offering them discount vouchers for your product to give away to their customers.

It's also a good idea to have a small ad in local magazines. There are cheap ads available.

Flyers, either given away yourself or left in counters in shops, are also a good idea.

You should also consider sending fax broadcasts to businesses that could benefit from your product. You can find that some companies have lists of fax numbers, and can send out the fax.

If your product has a special or unique benefit that is newsworthy, you have a chance of being interviewed by a local reporter, who can write a better article for readers or listeners.

Inquire about the possibility of sending out Press Releases to the local media. Send them your product for review. You might also want to get a famous celebrity to endorse your product.
