Discover ways to Create a Blog in 15 Minutes

If you're looking for concise, easy instruction on how to start off a blog you've come to the right place. I'll show you how you can do this in two of the most notable blogging platforms - WordPress (WP) and Blogger (B).

1. Register yourself on the site

a. WP: Go to wordpress.com and sign up for an account. It takes only seconds to get it done. Details expected include blog address, user name and password, and e-mail.
b. B: Go to blogger.com. You can sign in with your existing Google account or build a new one.

2. Create a blog site and take a look at the dashboard

a. WP: Your blog is automatically created during the sign up. So, all you need to do is to go to your dashboard. Click on your profile at the top right part of the screen. Then navigate to the dashboard link on the top left piece of the screen.
b. B: Click on "develop a blog". Here you can provide your blog title, address and verification code. Continue to the next screen to select a theme for your blog. Choose to customize settings on the next screen.

3. Customize your configurations

a. WP: The dashboard is a collection of all your blogs and presents to you a series of menus that you can use to customize your blog. It is in a very user-friendly graphic format. Set up the look, plugins, widgets, and much more.
b. B: The dashboard is presented in the form of tabs. Go to each tab to customize.

4. Start out blogging

a. WP: take a look at the "Posts" menu on the left hand column. Select "New Post". Start off composing your article.
b. B: Click on the "Posting" tab to write your reports.

5. Publish your posts

a. WP: Click on the "publish" option next to the editor box. You can schedule, save or preview the post before actually publishing it. This way you know what the content will look on the internet.
b. B: Choose to publish proper away or save to publish later on. You can preview the post before publishing.
