1. Preventive measures - Prevention is better than cure. This is the main focus of this kind of DR; it targets preventing an occasion or accident from developing. 2. Detective measures - In this kind of disaster recovery, it is designed to discover or detect any unnecessary program in the computer. It strives those things which might cause a trouble down the road. 3. Corrective measures - After locating a problem in the program, these step aims at correcting these problems or fixing the computer system and memory to the time before the situation had occurred.

Disaster plans are crucial in a company a good disaster plan is one which has all the 3 forms above and is tested regularly to guarantee that it's fail safe.
