The Right Plan for Keeping Your Twitter Followers

Having the wrong people following you at Twitter is exactly like optimizing your content for the wrong keywords - it all falls apart. The only way long-term success is possible is through building and minimizing the numbers of unfollows. The single most recognized approach to sustaining your follower numbers is by making them want to stay with you - create rapport, get to know them and offer value where you can.

One thing some people may not think about is the fact that followers come from all parts of the globe, so remember that when you think about the times you are there, too. Even though distributing your tweeting hours may not seem like a big strategy, it will have an effect on your followers and they will notice that you're taking extra care to go out of your way to give them value. Hopefully you know that aside from normal day to day conversations, you must provide value to them whenever you aim to help them.

If you begin to get a little bit of success, then just make sure you do not become over-confident in your abilities. On the other hand, we would always urge you to go forth with a strong measure of self-assuredness.

Maintaining a consistency in your tweets is really important because if somebody is following you, they expect to get value out of it. Most folks there want to see people who take the time to be involved and participate in the discussion. Learn to be a regular there, and definitely don't allow yourself to suddenly get tired of it and stop for a period of time. When you take these pretty simple steps, then you will be creating your reputation and working to make it stronger.

Last but not the least - be human! That's right; before anything else we are human beings, which is why you shouldn't get too commercial in your approach. Show your followers that you've got a lighter side and you do understand their emotions. The danger with proceeding without a solid foundation is that people will be afraid to engage you because they will feel they will get hit with your marketing.

There's just so much more you can get out of Twitter if you simply understand how to keep your followers happy. The greatest challenge for Twitter marketers is finding the patience to bring this all together. As long as you're focused on giving your followers a high quality experience and work on delivering great content, there's no reason as to why they wouldn't stay hooked on to you. The better your platform and reputation, the better response you will see from people.
