Sony Mdr-Xd200 - Custom Headphones Review

By Lilly Gonzales

Quickly delivered, easy to set-up, light weight, comfortable, sound fantastic, and seem well built. I only wish I could sync them directly with my iPhone 3GS.

They also make my head a tad warm, but I honestly think that's to be expected. Bottom line, I'm able to listen to the TV later at night as loud as I want without disturbing the rest of the family. The controls (volume up, volume down, and balance) are small and right next to one another, and I can't imagine trying to use them with the phones on. It's very easy to hit the wrong button. One other complaint, both the base unit and the headphones automatically shut off when the headphones are being recharged. Then both must be turned back on to use the headphones. It is sufficient for my needs. Lastly, the 180's are as comfortable to wear as the 130's. I have not heard any interference or distortion due to it being wireless. These are the best wireless headphones ever.

Control buttons are very close together and when first using them, you tend to push the wrong ones quite a bit. I consider this a minor inconvenience since after a bit of practice you can determine which buttons you want to use/adjust by feel. They do not dwell on the surround sound capability. But, I have found the surround sound to be incredible. I called Sennheiser customer service and they said to continue to use them and this would correct itself and if not to get back to them. They were easy to contact and their response was correct. They are extremely comfortable. The fit is snug on an average size head, and with the over-the-ear style of these, they have no pressure at all on your ears. If you're going out jogging for miles, don't take anything for granted. Take in mind the open design though; if you're in the same room as someone who's planning on sleeping, you can't turn these up too high. These are good headphones. The sound quality isn't the best, for example, my Sennheiser HD 25-1 II headphones sound a bit better, but these are more comfortable and they're open, and they're wireless.

The sound is excellent. The controllers are much better indexed than those on the 140.

Don't get me wrong, the RS 190s are great if you're primary interested in listening to music but if you're looking for home theater quality sound for movies or games, then look no further. The RS 180 are prefect for that purpose.

The two wireless signals seem to work just fine at the same time. I'd rate these A- (4.5 out of 5) as far as wireless headphones go, and probably B+ (4 out of 5) out of any kind of headphone out there.

There is a chord about five feet long and as it has, as others say, Leaha headphones. So sound isolation isn't a problem in my experience (this headphone does not have any sound isolation feature). wireless mp3 headphones.

Can You Lose a Contact Lens In Your Eye?

By Jamie Mcquade

One of the fears that many people have when they first think of wearing contact lenses is that the tiny lens itself may get lost inside their eye. Horrific thoughts may flash in your mind as you envision the contact lens becoming dislodged from its resting place on your cornea and sliding back behind your eyeball, never to be seen again. While that type of scenario is usually enough to make any contact lens wearer uneasy, it isn't actually possible for it to shift behind your eyeball.

On the inside of your eyelids is a moist and thin lining known as the conjunctiva. The conjunctiva actually folds backwards to become the outer covering of the white of your eyeball at the back of your eyelid. The conjunctiva extends continuously from your eyelids to your eyeballs, which means a contact lens couldn't get stuck behind your eyeball, because the lining would prevent it from happening.

That being said, it is possible for a contact lens to shift from its spot on your cornea and move around the surface of your eyeball. If you rub your eyes a little too vigorously, or get knocked in the eye somehow, the contact lens could fold in half and move off your cornea. Sometimes, your contacts that have become dislodged may shift up and under your eyelid. This will give the appearance that it has disappeared entirely, but it is still possible to get it back. If you lose a contact lens under your eyelid it will usually feel as though you have something in your eye. If you get this sensation and the contact lens is no longer where it is supposed to be, try applying some contact lens rewetting drops into your eye. Close your eye and massage your eyelid gently for several seconds. Most of the time, the contact lens will shift down from under the eyelid to a spot where you can see it and remove it from your eye. You may have to soak contact lenses in solution for a few seconds and rub them a little if they stay folded in half even after you have solved the issue.

If you attempt the massage and rewetting technique and you still can't locate your contact lens, gently turning your eyelid inside out will certainly find it. Most people don't think of such things when they sign on to wear contacts, but the process is relatively simple and painless. If you position a cotton swab across the outside of your eyelid horizontally, then look down and grasp your eyelashes, it's usually possible to flip your eyelid up quite easily. Just tilt your head back a little and watch for the contact lens with your other eye.

If you've lost a contacts in your eye and can't seem to get it out with either technique, you may want to ask a friend or family member for help or give your eye doctor a call for advice.
